Send requested dates and sign (1080×1920 pixels at 72 dpi, vertical), one week notice to Lisa Faucon (415-353-8254, [email protected])

Parnassus Medical Sciences Building, 9th Floor

In the elevator lobby of the 9th floor of the Medical Sciences building, a wall-mounted television displays announcements moderated by the School of Pharmacy. This display is seen by most PharmD students and some School of Pharmacy faculty and staff. It’s also on a common footpath for those traveling between Parnassus Avenue and the Ray and Dagmar Dolby Regeneration Medicine Building, which is the headquarters for the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research. Any UCSF individual or entity is welcome to submit an announcement.

Creating an Announcement

For best results, your announcement should match these specifications:

  • 16:9 width-to-height ratio. Other ratios will produce suboptimal results because your announcement will be scaled to fit the display.
  • At least 1366 × 768 pixels. If your file is larger, that's okay, but since larger files take longer to download and use more bandwidth with no improvement in quality, we prefer exactly 1366 × 768 pixels. Smaller than this size will result in suboptimal image quality because your announcement will be scaled to fit the display.
  • Save your file as a PNG-24 or JPEG. Use the highest quality setting if available.
  • Images only. The display does not support video.
  • Each slide appears for 25 seconds. If you have a lot of text, run a time test to make sure everything is easily readable within 25 seconds.
Submitting an Announcement

Send a shareable link – not an email attachment – to [email protected]. Be sure to include the beginning and end dates that you’d like the announcement posted. Your announcement will be reviewed usually within two business days.
